Lippies...! Been some time since my last review for lipstick. This is my first time trying E.L.F lippies and since I want red at that time when I ordered (never had red but I have more red now). The price doesn't hurt and the review is good so... not so bad, right.

Packaging

Their signature black color for studio line. The packaging is an oversize black box, while the pen itself is less than half of the box. I like the look, even though it's cheap but it has statement, making it looks more expensive.

It doesn't look like lipstick at all, it is in between lip liner and lip crayon. It has black plastic bottle with the color hint on the top side.


I have used it once or twice so the shape isn't really sharp anymore. As I said, it's like a lip crayon but smaller and definitely bigger than a lip liner so it's still very easy to draw using it. No lip liner needed. The color is just like the name, rich red!

It's cheap but it's also very short. I don't pull it out but compared to lipstick, this is very small so it's not the cheapest option but I still like it.


It glides super easily on my lips. The color is bold and pigmented (of course because it is red), I don't know about the nude color. The red color is so pretty, it's a bright red which can brighten my complexion. I think it's more like 'Snow White' red.

Even though it's matte, but the result isn't as matte as I thought. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm is more matte than this one. It's not glossy, a bit matte, but not drying. I love the formula because I don't really like matte lipstick.

I don't notice any scent here, which is good because cheap products usually have unpleasant chemical scent but not this one.

I rubbed so hard on my hand and the color is still there. Even after eating and drinking, without touching up, it's still ok for me, there's still color on my lips but not as bold as when first applied. The bolder the color is, the longer it stays on your lips, more like stain.




Pros:

Cons:
- So small
- Pricey in Indonesia compared to US price >_<
- Dries a but, just don't forget to drink

Overall:
I love it! The pigmentation is awesome and I love the texture because it's semi matte. It's also quiet long lasting. This is not my everyday lipstick so I don't mind if it's small, it can make the application easier. I'll consider buying other color if they have more sale (so I could pay less than IDR 60k) ^o^.
