Review: Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

Monday, July 01, 2013

Hola... Feels it's a while ago since I reviewed Etude House, one of my favorite brand from Korea.
So.. It's new to me to buy eye primer. I've never feel like I needed it before I'm into eyeshadows.
But now, I know why it is very important. I don't have oily eyelids, not at all, never experienced eyeshadow creased or messy after a few hours. But still, primer is needed.
Want to know why???
Short review...

Details
I couldn't find the complete details about this item.
Price is various start from $6.

Packaging

It comes in a box. The bottle made from plastic and the shape is like Etude House Liquid Eyeliner Oh M'eye Line. I've owned the pearl liner and brown, black, silver eyeliner. I just love them because they're cheap and good quality.

The cap has the same material with Etude House Proof 10 Liquid Liner. This one too I owned years ago but my sister broke it, it's kinda fragile. I like the blue color and the shimmer material. It's classy.

So so so sorry I forgot to take a picture of the wand, but let me tell you.
It's similar with usual concealer wand with angled applicator.

Swatch

It's creamy and the color is light beige, easy to blend but dries really fast.
It's hard to blend eyeshadow if I wait too long after I apply the primer.

You see how the difference are between using it and without it.
The color is bold and shown, just like how it is shown on the palette.

I tried to smudge and rub it real hard, man! it is really hard to removed.
Now I know why we need a primer for eye shadow.
It is best removed with make up remover.

Pros
- Cheap
- Look a like UD in cheap version
- Works real good, eyeshadow color more pop up and hard to be removed

Cons
- Dries out fast after applying and hard to blend eyeshadow after

Overall
It is a cheap solution, I love the bottle and the applicator.
But the dries out factor kinda annoys me, I tried to use eyeshadow and it took a long time but when I want to blend the color, it is hard and it feels rough and not smooth.
I don't know if I'd repurchase, I'm thinking trying NYX, but still, I don't know when I will run out of this thing, we just need a very small amount to use and I'm not using it everyday.
