Review: Etude House Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color PK002

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

Etude House launched a new line about sweetness and bakery theme, Sweet Recipe.
I have reviewed the Baby Choux Base which is best selling of the Sweet Recipe line.

Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color

This one is the cupcake.
Sweet Recipe has 2 cupcakes, eye shadows and all over color.
Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color has 5 beautiful and tempting colors.

Why is it called All Over Color?
Because you can use it on all over your face, it's a multifunction product for lips, eyes and cheek.

PACKAGING

Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color
I picked this one because I wanted a pink blush, but now I can use it on my eyes and lips, too. Yes!
It's a pink cupcake, how cute!
The name printed on the plastic box and can.

The packaging is so unique, reminds me of a cupcake box when I bought a cupcake from a cafe.
There is a cupcake on the top to seal the packaging, it's like playing origami.

On the bottom side of the plastic packaging, there's a description in Korean.
How come, from the bottom, it's still cute and pinky.

The can container is pink with strawberry on it, as in the name Strawberry Chiffon Cake.
All their name are cute and sounds pastry, the container's color follows the product name.

You can see and check the product name at the bottom side of the container.

When I opened it, yes, it's a lotta product in a container, especially if you use it just for one part of your face (lips only or.... only), but this one for all over so.. Okay, it is big enough for all of my face.

SWATCH

Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color
At first, I was shocked to see how pink it is. It's so bright like shocking pink, not soft pink like I wanted.
But, do remember that Korean products tend to have soft finish.

I love the scent, it's like in between strawberry and peach, so sweet, makes me wanna lick it.
Reminds me of my childhood candy 'Sugus' in strawberry flavor, the color is almost the same too.

I love the result!
The color blends nicely and turns out it's very soft, not as bright as in the container, very buildable.
It's like my healthy pink complexion.

The texture is not glossy, it's more like satin cream.
For oily skin, you'll like this because it's semi matte finish.
For dry skin, you better use moisturizer + bb cream and better apply it before powder to achieve dewy look.

I use it often for my cheek, not really for lips because it's pale and quiet drying for semi matte finish.
For eyes, it's good, but for me better combine it with other colors. It's good as a base, because I tried to use  it at first and added some color and the color's shown better and it gives smoother application.

Pros
- Cute packaging
- Many colors variant
- Big container, you get a lot
- Multifunction for eyes, lips and cheek. But I like the most for cheek.

Cons
- Bulky packaging, not travel friendly
- Not hygienic, you have to use fingers, sometimes there's like dirt residue on mine

Overall
I really love it as a blush, it brighten up my skin tone with soft pink cheek.
I have normal dry skin so I was kinda hoping that this's more glowing and creamier rather than satin.
I'm not sure to repurchase because it's big and I don't know when I will run out of this one.
But for now, I love it..

  2. The color is cute and sweet, I have dry eyelids so it's still okay on my eyes, for oily eyelids it can be a trouble.
I usually put eyeshadows on it and it helps the creasing. Hope it helps :)

  6. Hi, Virginia.
Yes, sometimes I use my foundation brush to apply it. Because it's creamy, foundation brush is just perfect. I use it with tapping motion to the cheek and it will turn really lovely and your finger is safe from touching it. It is smoother and more natural with this technique. Thankss..
